Get An Awesome Job began as a way to help English Majors learn the critical skills they weren't taught in school. Despite spending tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars on degrees, the amount of practical career preparation for English majors was inadequate.

It was so bad, one could almost call it a scam.

For Get An Awesome Job Founder Matt Hall, however, the story was different. He noticed he was getting better jobs than any of his grad-school peers.

"What am I doing different?" he wondered. 

After doing some research, he found the secret: it was all in the preparation and the application.

Following a few simple principles seemed to open the door to fulfilling, exciting, and high-paying career opportunities.

And if a career opportunity didn't work out – such as if the team wasn't the right fit, or the work/life balance wasn't right – then finding a new job felt possible. 

This gave Matt the confidence to take only the best jobs that would let him do his best work.

As a result, Matt was able to support a growing family in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles County... two of the world's most expensive metro areas!

Spreading the Message

After experiencing this success for himself, Matt created a "test" course to see if what worked for him would work for others.

The results made his jaw drop.

Just like Matt, the people using his method to prepare and apply for jobs got 4 times as many interviews as the average person.

With more interviews came more opportunity, allowing people to find jobs they loved.

That left them fulfilled.

That encouraged them to do their best work, every day, and then carry that positive energy with them into their communities.

Matt quickly reworked his course for English majors so the information worked for everyone, no matter what (or if) their degree and experience.
